Can the Bruins Repeat in 2012?
The big question of the day, can the Boston Bruins repeat. Last year was such a magical time. Boston did the impossible and not only won 3 game 7′s but came back from an 0-2 deficit and won the Stanley Cup. As hard as that was I think winning it again may prove to be harder. The last team to win it back to back was the Detroit Red Wings in 1997 & 1998.
I think that Philadelphia is going to be a tough team to beat this year. The addition of Jaromir Jagr will certainly make the Flyers better. The Washington Capitals are a team that has to be considered one of the favorites. And if Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin can stay healthy then Pittsburgh will also be a force.
Getting out of the Eastern conference is going to be tough, it always is. Beating the best team from the Western conference will also be a challenge. Boston managed to do this last year and could very well do it again. It is such a monumental task which is why the Stanley Cup is considered the most coveted trophy in sports. Will shall wait and see if the mighty Bruins are up for the challenge.
